Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Nicole enjoys helping others to realise their full potential. She believes that every person has the strength and resilience to overcome the challenges that life throws at them. She works in collaboration with each person to develop the confidence and strategies that promote mental wellness, positive esteem, and life satisfaction. Her experiences have been in working in various capacities as a Counsellor, Case Manager, Coordinator, Supervisor, Conflict Coach, Executive Coach, and Manager within private practice, government, and non-government organisations.

Nicole has worked in the areas of mental health, trauma recovery, domestic violence, youth justice, complex and extreme behaviours, suicide prevention and intervention, and child protection. She has a passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families going through challenging life events, whether it relates to health and well-being or psychological concerns. Nicole is a  Trauma Informed Care Trainer, who also provides counselling, therapeutic guidance and behavioural strategies for parents and caregivers caring for children with trauma and/or behavioural difficulties.

Nicole also has a passion for educating leaders on how they can embed and promote healthy workplace culture in their businesses or organizations. Bullying and harassment is prevalent in many workplace environments and can cause psychological harm. Nicole offers therapeutic and referral support to people who have experienced bullying and harassment in the workplace.

Nicole has developed professional and therapeutic skills and techniques that will assist people in overcoming barrier so they can reach their full potential.

My Areas of Expertise

I am an Accredited Social Worker and  EMDR Practitioner (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy). I am registered with the Australian Association of Social Work and am a Full Member of  EMDRAA (EMDR Association of Australia). I also practice  Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples.   

I work with individuals, couples, and families in the areas of early childhood trauma, structural dissociation, attachment injury, behavioural difficulties (children and youth), domestic violence, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem improvement, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

I am a Trauma Informed Care trainer who educates professionals and families on how to effectively work with children and youth affected by complex trauma.
